The Coca-Cola Scholarship for International Studies is a travel scholarship available to students who have:
- completed at least two years of a degree program at MUN;
- are accepted to attend a recognized university outside Canada for one or two semesters of study for transfer credit back to Memorial
The Coca-Cola Scholarship for International Studies has been awarded for academic year 2022/23.
The Scotiabank Bursaries for International Study is available to full-time Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences students who are participating in one of the overseas Field Schools or study abroad programs through the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Students must also have scholarship standing to be considered for these three funding opportunities.
Applications are available for download and paper copies are available outside the office door - A - 1002. Please note that this competition is closed until Spring 2023.
Scholarship standing for the 2022-2023 scholarship year for undergraduate students is defined as a 75% average over the previous scholarship year and the successful completion of not less than 30 credit hours over that period. In considering students who complete more than 30 credit hours, the average on the actual number of credit hours taken will be reviewed. Students who fail one or more courses during the previous scholarship year regardless of the number of courses completed, will not be eligible for scholarships.
For the 2022-2023 scholarship year, for students who do not meet the above definition because of scheduled internships or equivalent or work terms, scholarship standing is defined as a 75% average on the academic work completed in the previous scholarship year in which they must have been enrolled as regular full-time Co-op students. Those who fail an academic course, internship or equivalent, or work term during the previous scholarship year will not be eligible for scholarships.
(Note: Not all students who meet the definition of scholarship standing will receive a scholarship)
