Newfoundland and Labrador students

Memorial University offers entrance scholarships to qualifying Canadian students enrolled in Newfoundland and Labrador high schools.

Early scholarship offers will be made to eligible candidates along with their early acceptance offers. In order to qualify for an early scholarship offer, students must have an early admission average of 85% or higher. No transcript is required. Your previous year final grades and current year registrations are obtained from the Department of Education automatically.

Final eligibility, for those who receive early offers, will be confirmed in August.  Any remaining funds may also be allocated in August with additional scholarships to eligible students who have not already received a scholarship.

Memorial University of Newfoundland Alumni Entrance Scholarship and Dr. Leslie Harris Memorial University Alumni Association Scholarship

To be eligible for the Memorial University of Newfoundland Alumni Entrance Scholarship and the Dr. Leslie Harris Memorial University Alumni Association Scholarship you must be a high school student, graduating from a Newfoundland and Labrador High School, entering the first year of undergraduate studies at Memorial University in September 2022, and have an early admission average of 90% or higher. Applicants must have strong extra curricular involvement and demonstrated leadership contributions to school and community in Levels I, II, and III.

The APPLICATION can be completed and submitted online. Deadline for receipt of the completed application is March 22, 2022.  When you apply, please ensure that you allow sufficient time for your referee to submit their reference letter by the March 22nd deadline.  COMPETITION CLOSED. WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2022/2023.  

Changes to scholarship eligibility for 2021-22
