Main Brook - Newfoundland Quilts

Inga Coombs is a lifelong resident of Main Brook who makes traditional textile crafts as a pastime. In recent years, Inga has been most interested in making Newfoundland Quilts. Each of her quilts exhibit up to 20 individual images of traditional life on the Great Northern Peninsula. These images are either hand painted or appliqued out of fabric onto her quilt blocks. She makes these popular quilts as gifts or as donation items for local church fundraisers. Inga discusses the methods and materials used in making quilts and other textile crafts.
