Branch - Buildings

Some of the older buildings in Branch continue to speak of the town's settlement history. The Nash family were amongst some of the earliest permanent settlers. As Nash numbers increased, homesteads were built on the Square just above the Gut. Maurice Nash (b. 1909) was the son of Thomas Nash (b. 1859) and was the first to build on the Square. Thomas Nash was the grandson of the first known settler to the area, a man of the same name -- Thomas Nash.
