FAQ

How do I use OnBase with a Mac?

Mac users that have an OnBase account can access OnBase via the Web Client. The recommended browser for Mac is Firefox. To setup Firefox for the Web Client please do the following:

  1. Open a fresh Firefox window

    A bookmark to the OnBase Web Client must be added manually.

  2. From the Bookmarks menu, select Show All Bookmarks.

  3. Click on the gear icon to access Bookmark options and select New Bookmark...

  4. Enter a name for the bookmark.
  5. Paste the OnBase Web Client link into the Location field.
  6. Select Add.

  7. A modal sheet will appear and prompt for authentication. Enter your Memorial Domain Username and Password.

Once logged in, the OnBase Web Client will open.

How do I configure Internet Explorer for OnBase?

Add mun.ca as a trusted Site:

  1. Open Internet Explorer and from the menu bar open Tools and select Internet Options
  2. Click on the Security Tab and select Trusted Sites
  3. Click on the Sites button

  4. Untick 'Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone' checkbox
  5. In Add this website to the zone: type in *.mun.ca and click the Add button
  6. Verify that *mun.ca now appears under Websites:
  7. Tick the 'Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone' checkbox

  8. Close and exit settings

Turn on Automatic Logon:

  1. Open Internet Explorer and from the menu bar open Tools and select Internet Options
  2. Click on the Security Tab and click on the Custom level button

  3. Under settings scroll to User Authentication | Logon
  4. Select Automatic logon with current user name and password
  5. Click OK

What browsers are supported by OnBase?

To use the OnBase Web Client you must have a browser that is compatible with MUN’s current version of OnBase (16.0.0.34). OnBase will automatically block login attempts from unsupported browsers. Please note that when using browsers with Limited Support modules such as Work Flow will be inaccessible.

Can I access OnBase off campus?

In order to login to OnBase you must have an active OnBase account and be logged into the MUN Network. To access OnBase while you are off-campus you will need Virtual Private Network Access (VPN).
