University-wide consultation on draft Learning & Teaching Framework 2017-2022

In December 2016, Dr. Noreen Golfman appointed a teaching and learning review committee with a mandate to: assess the outcomes of Memorial’s Teaching and Learning Framework (2011-2016);  determine, through consultations on all of Memorial’s campuses, where the current teaching and learning environment was strong and where it could be improved; and make recommendations for a renewed Framework, including new and integrated approaches to program delivery, curriculum development and student services and support.

This winter the committee consulted with a broad range of stakeholders, including students, faculty, instructors, and staff who shared their knowledge, experience, needs, opinions and concerns about teaching and learning at Memorial, and subsequently developed a comprehensive document that identifies four priority areas for teaching and learning with specific calls to action to address the priorities.

Faculty, staff and students from all campuses are encouraged to review the report. Feedback will be accepted until April 27, 2017, via email at mhaynes@mun.ca.

The report can be viewed here.
