SUBJECT: PSA: How Reserves/Reports in the N.L. Offshore Are Communicated to the Public

DATE: November 19, 2018

Memorial University's Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science will host a public lecture on Nov. 22.

As a regulator in the offshore, the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB) represents the public interest in the stewardship of petroleum resources.

Public disclosure regarding the development of natural resources is an important part of the C-NLOPB’s mandate, as well as communication with industry, governments and the public.

Jeff O’Keefe, director of resource management and chief conservation officer with the C-NLOPB, will present on how the C-NLOPB fulfills this mandate at this Speaking of Engineering event on Thursday, Nov. 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Engineering building, room EN-2006, on Memorial’s St. John’s campus.

Admission is free. Free parking is available in lot 60. All are welcome. Reception to follow.

This event is being hosted by the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Memorial and the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists N.L.
