SUBJECT: PSA: Free all-day Science Rendezvous takes science out of the lab and onto the streets

DATE: May 7, 2014

Science Rendezvous, the all-day festival that takes science out of the lab and onto the streets, will be held on Saturday, May 10, on the St. John's campus of Memorial University.
In addition to the event in St. John's, Science Rendezvous festivals will simultaneously take place in numerous cities across Canada. Last year’s Science Rendezvous event in St. John's attracted over 200 attendees and organizers expect record crowds this year.
The event takes place in the Science and Chemistry-Physics buildings at Memorial University, from 12-3 p.m. There is no charge.
Science Rendezvous is a science outreach program that offers direct engagement with Canada’s top researchers and scientists. Since launching in 2008, Science Rendezvous has grown to include 40 of Canada’s top research institutions and over 75 community partnerships across 30 cities in 10 provinces. Memorial University is a partner.
