DATE: November 7, 2013

Memorial University will remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice during a special Ceremony of Remembrance on the St. John’s campus at 11 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 8. The ceremony will take place in the D.F. Cook Recital Hall in the School of Music.
The university was founded in 1925 as a living memorial to those who fought in the first and second world wars. Each year, a Ceremony of Remembrance is held in association with Remembrance Day.

Poems will be read by students, staff and faculty members of the Memorial community who are descendants of veterans of the Great War and various university-affiliated organizations will lay wreaths.
The ceremony will be webcast live at www.delts.mun.ca/portal/live2.php.
