SUBJECT: PSA: Memorial University holding public consultation on First World War commemoration

DATE: October 30, 2012

Memorial University is holding a second public consultation as it plans a program of First World War commemorative activities to take place during 2014-2018.
Interested members of the public are invited to share advice and suggestions on the nature of these commemorations at a public meeting in Innovation Hall of the Bruneau Centre, room IIC-2014, St. John’s campus, tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Tonight’s session will be webcast live. See http://www.delts.mun.ca/portal/live.php to participate.
There are two other scheduled public consultations, in Corner Brook, Monday, Nov. 5, at the Grenfell Campus Art Gallery, 2:30-4:30 p.m.; and in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Tuesday, Nov. 6, hosted by the Labrador Institute, 12-2 p.m., room 106, College of the North Atlantic.
The first consultation session was held in Grand Falls-Windsor on Oct. 26.
Public comment is invited until Nov. 7 through a commemoration website.
