SUBJECT: PSA: Marine Institute 2013 Career Fair taking place

Students and employers will unite at the Fisheries and Marine Institute (MI) of Memorial University of Newfoundland’s annual Career Fair on Tuesday, Feb. 5, and Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the institute’s Ridge Road campus in St. John’s.
Members of the media are invited to attend and are welcome to interview employers, students and Marine Institute alumni and personnel taking part both prior to and during the two-day event.
The event provides students and alumni the opportunity to learn more about current and future career opportunities while providing the chance to network with representatives from a variety of companies.
The MI Career Fair begins on Tuesday, Feb. 5, with company and alumni presentations held by industry partners such as Fleetway Inc., Department of Immigration and Multiculturalism, Secunda Canada, Department of Environment and Conservation, AMEC, Molson Coors Canada, Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Atlantic Towing Ltd., Technip Canada Ltd., Sofina Foods Inc. and Cooke Aquaculture. Presentations will take place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in Hampton Hall, the Industry Seminar Room and other designated locations.
The Career Fair Exhibition will be held in MI’s gymnasium on Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and will see more than 30 local, national and international employers meet with MI students and graduates to discuss potential work term and graduate employment opportunities.
