SUBJECT: PSA: Public event to discuss maternal diet and health

DATE: May 8, 2012

Join three experts from Memorial University for a free public discussion about how a mother’s diet during pregnancy can have a major impact on their child’s health well into adulthood.
Drs. Robert Bertolo, Canada Research Chair in Human Nutrition; Dr. Sukhinder Cheema, professor of biochemistry; and Dr. Joan Crane, maternal fetal medicine specialist and professor in obstetrics and gynecology, will be taking questions and sharing their knowledge in an interactive and informal setting.
The event takes place from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, at the Suncor Energy Fluvarium. There is no admission charge and refreshments will be served. RSVP to Meaghan Whelan, mcwhelan@mun.ca or 709-864-4073.
