SUBJECT: PSA: Executive director of Oxfam Canada to discuss famine in East Africa

Robert Fox, executive director of Oxfam Canada, will present Famine in East Africa: Taking Action for a Healthy Future at Memorial University’s Faculty of Medicine.
The event will take place in the Health Sciences Centre lecture theatre A from 1-2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19. The lecture is open to the public and admission is free.
Mr. Fox recently returned from a trip to Somalia where he saw first-hand the dire circumstances of the famine in this region of Africa.
His presentation is part of the speaker series within the Division of Community Health and Humanities in the Faculty of Medicine.
