SUBJECT: Memorial University’s telephone exchange transition enters second phase

Memorial University’s St. John’s campus has a new telephone exchange number.
As of Feb. 5, 2011, the old exchange, 737, was phased out. The new exchange is 864.
After Feb. 5, anyone dialing 737 will receive a message notifying them of the change. Callers will then be forwarded to their desired connection.
The new 864 exchange has been committed to Memorial and will allow for future growth of the St. John’s campus.
It should be noted that the change only affects the St. John’s campus, and excludes the Marine Institute and Grenfell Campus in Corner Brook. It also does not affect the Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy or the Faculty of Medicine as they operate under the 777 exchange within Eastern Health.
