Media agencies are invited to send representatives to a free public forum taking place tomorrow night, Wednesday, Oct. 14, in St. John’s.
Teacher education in Canada: The Issues and Challenges is being hosted by Memorial University’s Harris Centre.
It begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel.
The discussion will be led by Dr. Robert Crocker, a professor emeritus from Memorial’s Faculty of Education.
He’ll be joined by Dr. Bruce Sheppard, a professor from Memorial’s Faculty of Education, and Dr. Clare Kosnik, an associate professor and head of the Centre for Teacher Education and Development at the University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.
The forum is open to the general public. Admission is free, and a reception will follow. 
The event will also be webcast live at www.mun.ca/harriscentre and viewers will be able to submit questions or comments by e-mail during the webcast.
