On Monday, Feb. 8, the Memorial University community will celebrate the largest single philanthropic contribution TD Bank Financial Group has ever made to Memorial. This generous donation, which will support graduate students pursuing study or research in areas related to the environment, will enable Memorial to advance its teaching and research strengths in this multidisciplinary field.

Dr. Christopher W. Loomis, Memorial’s president and vice-chancellor, pro tempore, Gen. Rick J. Hillier (Ret’d.), Chancellor of Memorial, Bruce Shirreff, senior vice-president, TD Canada Trust, Atlantic Region, and Dr. Darin King, minister of Education, will be on hand with special guests, students, senior administration, faculty and representatives from TD to mark this occasion.
