SUBJECT: PSA: Power outage on St. John's campus closes Chemistry-Physics Building for morning
DATE: October 2, 2009
A power transfer switch has failed on the St. John’s campus of Memorial University, causing a power failure to the Chemistry-Physics Building. The building will be closed until at least 1 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 2, 2009. The building is now being evacuated by Campus Enforcement and Patrol.
All classes and labs scheduled to take place in this building are cancelled until power can be restored.
A further update will be issued at noon.
About classes and other scheduled activities taking place in the afternoon, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to monitor news media and check www.mun.ca for further information and updates. Updates are also available on Twitter at MemorialU.
