SUBJECT: PSA: Memorial gathering public input for the development of research plan

Memorial University is holding five regional public consultation sessions in the coming weeks allowing Newfoundlanders and Labradorians an opportunity to help identify research opportunities of strategic importance to the province.
The feedback will help guide the development of a new research plan at Memorial which will support future growth in research at the university.
Input from all citizens of the province is welcome.
The public is invited to attend the following public consultation sessions:
• Monday, April 12, 7-9 p.m., Corner Brook
Forest Centre Lecture Theatre, room FC2014, Sir Wilfred Grenfell College
Parking available in lot directly across from Fine Arts Building
• Tuesday, April 13, 7-9 p.m., Grand Falls-Windsor
Mount Peyton Hotel
• Wednesday, April 14, 7-9 p.m., Clarenville Clarenville Inn
• Monday, April 19, 7-9 p.m., Happy Valley-Goose Bay
Hotel North 2
• Tuesday, April 27, 7-9 p.m., St. John's
The Fluvarium
Coffee/tea will be served at 6:30 p.m. Meetings beginning at 7 p.m.
The sessions will have facilitation support from the provincial government’s Rural Secretariat.
If members of the public cannot make a session, they are encouraged to visit www.mun.ca/research/plan and share their thoughts on Memorial research by completing a short survey.
