SUBJECT: PSA: Canadian Federation of University Women used book sale
DATE: April 20, 2010
The Canadian Federation of University Women will host a gigantic used book sale at the Arts and Culture Centre in St. John's this weekend.
The sale will take place on Friday, April 23 from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Saturday, April 24 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
On sale will be about 25,000 quality used books of all categories of fiction and non-fiction, as well as a large selection of Newfoundland and Labrador books. A separate section of bargain books will be offered at $2.00 per bag.
The money raised is returned to the community through funding of post-secondary scholarships, Kiwanis Music Festival awards, the circulation of art posters to 300 Newfoundland and Labrador schools,
the education of children in Nairobi, Kenya, donations to the university campus food bank and other educational projects.
