SUBJECT: PSA: Career expo to promote jobs in Labrador

Memorial University alumni and students interested finding out more about career opportunities in Labrador are invited to attend the Iron Ore Company of Canada /Memorial Career Expo taking place on the St. John’s Campus on Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Smallwood Centre, Arctic Ave., St. John’s campus. Representatives from the Iron Ore Company of Canada and Labrador West will be on hand to discuss the diverse employment opportunities with IOC and in the region. Alumni and others should consider attending the luncheon roundtable session from 12 to 1 p.m. in UC 2001 – talk with IOC management and HR personnel, as well as with current employees who are MUN alumni. The aim of these events is to provide information about IOC’s current recruitment drive and to give people the scoop on living and working in Labrador West. Parking will be available in Area 16, Arctic Ave.
