CORNER BROOK – Feedback on the merits of offering a master’s certificate in project management will be focus of an information session at Grenfell College next week.
The Division of Community Education and College Relations, Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, in partnership with the Centre for Management Development at Memorial University’s Faculty of Business Administration, will hold the information session for businesses, organizations or individuals in Corner Brook and region who are interested in learning about the master’s certificate in project management.
This information session will be held on Thursday, March 30, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m., in room RP-104, RecPlex Building, University Drive.
“Tentative plans are underway to offer the master’s certificate in project management program in the Corner Brook area beginning fall 2006 and we are seeking public input in this process,” said Marilyn Forward, program developer at Community Education.
Bill Morrissey, director of the Centre for Management Development, will facilitate the session and will discuss such program details as level of participation, proposed schedule and location of training.
“During the session participants will learn why more than 2,000 project management professionals across Canada have chosen the master’s certificate in project management to help them achieve the ultimate success in project management: bringing in a project on time and on budget” added Ms. Forward.
Since 1999, the Centre for Management Development at Memorial University’s Faculty of Business Administration has partnered with York University to bring this intensive and exciting training program to project management professionals in Newfoundland and Labrador.
“We’re excited about the opportunity of finally offering the program in the Corner Brook region,” said Ms. Forward.
