SUBJECT: Memorial University Board of Regents to hold annual retreat meeting in Happy Valley-Goose Bay Sept. 7-8, 2005

Memorial University’s governing board, the Board of Regents, will hold its annual retreat meeting in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Sept. 7-8, 2005. The theme of their retreat – taking place at Hotel North – is Memorial University’s Strategy for Labrador and Points North. While in Labrador board members will meet with various community groups and also tour the College of the North Atlantic campus, attend a briefing and tour of the Goose Bay air base and visit the North West River Interpretation Centre. The Board of Regents will host a community dinner on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Captains Room in the Hotel North. Media agencies are invited to send representatives to this dinner.
