Memorial alumni and friends are invited to bring their children and grandchildren to a special Christmas event of music and story telling on Saturday, Dec. 11, at 10:30 a.m., with children’s entertainer Ed Kavanagh, BA (Hons.) ’78, B. Ed. ’82. The event will be held at Alumni House, 20 Lambe’s Lane off Westerland Road, St. John’s campus, Memorial University. Christmas cookies and milk will be served. There will be an opportunity to purchase books and have them signed by Mr. Kavanagh. Non-perishable food donations gratefully accepted for the campus food bank.

Since the publication of his first Amanda Greenleaf book in 1986, Ed Kavanagh has built a reputation as an engaging storyteller and entertainer. At this event he will introduce his new children’s book, Amanda Greenleaf: The Complete Adventures, which is sure to delight the young and the not-so-young alike. Come and be treated to readings, play-acting and musical entertainment in which Mr. Kavanagh will invite the children to participate.

This event is hosted by the Office of Alumni Affairs and Development, the St. John’s chapter of Memorial’s alumni association and Granny Bates Book Store. Parking is available at Alumni House. Overflow parking is available at St. Augustine’s Church parking lot (adjacent to Lambe’s Lane). RSVP by Dec. 9 to reserve your spot as space is limited.
