SUBJECT: Science Building closed due to possible gas leak

Officials from Memorial University's Department of Facilities Management are investigating a possible propane gas leak in the Science Building, located on the St. John's campus. The university's safety department was alerted to the situation at around noon on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004. The St. John's Fire Department was called and the building will remain closed until Facilities Management officials can determine whether there is a leak and are able to effect a repair.
