The eastern side of the Aquarena facility on Memorial’s St. John’scampus will be getting a completely new roof over the summer months. Repairs on the roof will begin in mid June and will finish by the end of August. Programs at the Aquarena will be unaffected by this repair. The repair only involves the outer covering of the roof and not the roof structure itself. As a precautionary measure, however, safety netting will be placed near the ceiling on the inside of the facility. Patrons may notice increased traffic flow due to the construction equipment moving in an out of the parking lot, but parking will still be available as usual.
