HSS Research Funding Tracker

Funding opportunities, submission procedures, and internal and external deadlines for many HSS-related internal and external competitions can be found in HSS's Research Funding Tracker (RFT). If an opportunity is not found in the RFT, please inquire with a GFO, who can add it.

RIS Funding Opportunities

Memorial's institution-level research administration office, Research Initiatives and Services (RIS), maintains its own database of funding opportunities. Note that this database only lists the RIS, institutional deadline and the external funding agencies’ deadline. You’ll have to cross-check this information with HSS’s RFT to find HSS’s internal deadline.

Award Opportunities

There are many ways to build your research CV; one is through nominations for awards or fellowships. These also often come with funding and/or course releases, etc. If you would like to nominate someone or would like to be nominated for a prestigious award, the Vice-President (Research)’s Awards Advisory Committee assists with these types of nominations; internal reviews may be required, and internal deadlines may be months before the external deadline. The VPR maintains a database of awards and their deadlines.
