Mindfulness has been proven in Positive Psychology research to be an effective strategy to manage anxious thoughts and cultivate positive behaviours. Mindfulness is the practice of focusing your attention on the present moment; accepting it without judgment or resistance. It's about taking one mindful moment at a time.

Click below to experience each of the four Mindfulness Exercises led by Positive Psychology Coach, Jennifer Kelly. Each session takes about 15 minutes.

Here's what you need to know to prepare for these exercises.

1. Be sure to be seated comfortably in a quiet area.

2. Family members, including kids, can join in - just ensure you brief them about the nature of the activity.

3. If it's just you doing the session, let family and friends know you will be taking 15 minutes of uninterrupted quiet time so they know not to disturb you, if possible.
