Applying for a Temporary Resident Visa or Entry Visa
CHECK IT OUT: CIC has video tutorials to help you in completing your application forms. To view the video tutorial for TRV (entry visa) application, click here.
A temporary resident visa (TRV) (sometimes called Entry Visa) is an official document issued by a visa office abroad that is placed in your passport to show that you have met the requirements for admission to Canada as a temporary resident (either as a visitor or student).
A visa may be for a single entry, for multiple entries, or for transit purposes.
To travel outside while you are a student at MUN, you need:
~ a valid passport (if expiring, contact your embassy).
~ a valid Study Permit (if you are returning to study).
~ a valid Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) if you are from one of these countries.
~ If you are visiting the USA or St. Pierre and Miquelon only, you will not need a TRV to return - see regulation 190 3f
