Willow Anderson coordinates ISA's Culture to Community Educational Outreach Program which links Memorial University’s international and new immigrant students with K-12 classes in rural areas of Newfoundland and Labrador. These volunteer students visit rural schools in order to share about their country, culture, faith, or experience with topics of global significance. Willow’s role is to help bring this new program to life and ensure that it helps increase intercultural understanding and respect for cultural difference across the province. This role fits nicely with Willow’s intercultural communication focussed dissertation on immigration to rural parts of the island. In her spare time Willow is passionate about hiking, berry picking, and international film and cuisine.
