Immigration Online Application Changes and Information Session

In December 2012, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) made several changes to their online applications for temporary resident documents (i.e. study permits, work permits and visas). The format of the applications have changed, as well as the documents that you are required to submit with your application. There has also been the addition of a Coop Work Permit online application and a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV or entry visa) online application.

The ISA has scheduled several information sessions over the next couple of months which will outline the new process for applying for many of these documents. The schedule of sessionscan be found here. If you have any questions that are not answered by viewing our website or attending a session, or you are not able to attend a session, contact Natasha either by email, nclark@mun.ca, by phone 864-2170, or by visiting the ISA office (appointment may be required).

The ISA is no longer accepting opt outs and opt ins to the Foreign Health Insurance for the Winter 2013 semester. The deadline was January 18, 2013. The next opportunity to opt out of the foreign health will be Spring 2013.
