Update on water quality at Memorial University

In a media briefing today, Kent Decker, vice-president (administration and finance), discussed the rationale behind the closure of Memorial University’s St. John’s campus and outlined the next steps the university will take as it works to resume regular operations.

Most of Memorial University’s St. John’s campus closed on July 31, 2015

The Prince Philip Drive portion of Memorial University’s St. John’s Campus (known as the north and south campuses) will be closed for faculty, staff and students on Friday, July 31, as a result of water quality testing results in two buildings that indicated higher than acceptable levels of lead in the water supply.
