Science Career Talks

During the summer months of 2015 there will be “Science Career Talks” for science students whereby science alumni will come in and speak about what career path they have pursued and how they navigated their job search with a science background. Since 80% of jobs are not advertised, networking often plays a major role in how graduates find a career that fits their interests and values.

The events are free and it will be a great opportunity for science students to network and learn what opportunities there are in the hidden job market and how to best market skills to employers.

Some of the backgrounds of the alumni include Biology Honors, Geography, Biochemistry, Marine Biology and Computer Science. There will be two alumni presenters at each of the 3 events and refreshments will be provided. The schedule is below:

Where: The Landing (UC-3018)

When: June.3rd, July.22nd and August.4th

Time: 12pm-1pm

Come, ask questions and get informed!

To register for any of the above allotted times, please email sciencematters@mun.ca

Space is limited.

Thank you!
