1. When and where is the 2018 Memorial University Career and Graduate School Fair?
The Career and Graduate School Fair will be held at the Field House, date TBA.

2. What is the Career and Graduate School Fair?
The Career and Graduate School Fair is an opportunity for students and alumni to network with potential employers or to explore and discover various career options and paths. 

3. Who is permitted to attend the Career and Graduate School Fair and is there any cost?
The Career and Graduate School Fair is open to all Memorial University and College of the North Atlantic students, staff, faculty, and alumni. There is no cost, but you must present your MUN ID or supply your student/employee number to gain entry. 

4. Which disciplines are in the most demand at the Fair?
All disciplines are in demand and encouraged to attend.

5. Which types of employers/graduate schools will be there?
On average, the break down of employers is 60% local (Newfoundland and Labrador) and 40% out-of-province. All types of industries are represented at the Fair including private, public (federal and provincial government), non-profit organizations and educational institutions. 

6. How should you dress for the Fair?
The Career and Graduate School Fair is an excellent opportunity to make a good first impression with an employer. It is essential to come to the fair prepared and looking professional. Here are a few suggestions for appropriate attire: Men-Shirt/Tie with dress pants and shoes. Women-Blouse with dress pants/skirt and dress shoes. 

7. Is it possible to receive an interview/job offer at the Fair?
Employers do not normally offer jobs at a Career Fair. However, they will sometimes do an impromptu interview, whether informational or an actual interview for a possible position. This is why it is essential to look your best and be prepared in order to improve the likelihood of receiving a call-back in the future. 

8. Are all organizations looking for university and college graduates?
Not necessarily. Though the intent of most employers is to recruit university and college graduates at a Career Fair, it may not the highest priority. Some employers attend the Career Fair to raise awareness about their company/organization and/or fill co-op or summer positions that they have available. 

9. What should you bring?
A positive attitude and confidence! Employers have come here specifically to meet Memorial University and College of the North Atlantic students and alumni. The person who brings a positive attitude and confidence will leave a lasting impression with that employer. Always ensure to bring a resume. A cover letter is useful if you are applying for specific positions. Research the companies that you would like to talk to ahead of time and plan to bring resumes for them. They may not be hiring but you will be prepared in the event that they are. Bring paper and a pen so you can jot down important details about a company or position of interest. 

10. Is the Memorial University and College of the North Atlantic Career and Graduate School Fair wheelchair/disability accessible?
Yes. Wheelchair ramps are located in the sitting area of the field house. Additionally, the layout of the Career and Graduate School Fair is designed for wheelchair accessibility. 

11. Does it matter what time of day you attend?
The time of day really depends on your classes and schedule. However, early morning is ideal as most students have not made their way to the Fair yet. This will give you quality one-on-one time with the employer. 

12. Are organizations recruiting for anything higher than entry level?
Usually, no. One of the main purposes of an employer attending the Career and Graduate School Fair is to build an inventory of resumes for entry level positions. However, organizations could be hiring for more than entry level positions.
