Memorial University prides itself on being a smoke-free campus. Smoking is prohibited across campus and in all of our buildings. This includes vaporisers and e-cigarettes. |

Overnight parking for one vehicle is included in room rates. |

Bedding and towels are included with your room. We do not offer housekeeping during your stay, but we have a linen exchange cart if you require fresh linen. If you require additional pillows or blankets, please ask our staff. |

Our laundry facilities are available to all guests. To operate our laundry facilities you will need to purchase a laundry card at our front desk. We sell either $8 or $20 prepaid cards. These cards are reloadable. The cost is $2.00 per wash and $2.00 per dry. Please note that detergent is not provided. |

All of our buildings are secured by key or card access. This ensures that only those guests assigned to that building are able to access the facilities. |

We have a variety of meeting spaces available for booking within our accommodations and across campus. These spaces include boardrooms, classrooms, and indoor and outdoor event spaces. We offer secure indoor bike storage for any guests travelling with bikes. We also offer bike rentals at $10 for 4 hours or $40 for 24 hours. A bike lock and helmet are included with all rentals. In St. John’s it is required by law for individuals to wear a helmet when riding a bike. We have a selection of men’s and women’s adjustable hybrid and step-thru bikes. These bike rentals are open to all guests of Memorial and are available through the Co-operators IMPACT fund. When biking in St. John’s, riders must bike on the road and not on the sidewalks. As you are sharing the road with other vehicles, you are also required to follow the rules of the road. Burton’s Pond is located next to our Macpherson College facilities. This lovely duck pond is surrounded by a paved walking trail. You can purchase duck food at our front desk in Macpherson College for $1 per bag. We only accept cash for the purchase of duck food, and this helps support Memorial's Botanical Garden. |

In our Macpherson College residence, we have accessible rooms available. These rooms are single occupancy and include a fully accessible shower and toilet. |

Our accommodations are central to various walking trails throughout the city. We are a minute’s walk to Long Pond trail which is great for walks and jogs. This trail is a part of the Grand Concourse system which stretches throughout the city. It also connects to Mount Scio trail which takes visitors to the MUN Botanical Garden. |

There are a variety of food options when staying on campus. These options include the following. Smitty’s Family Restaurant located at 29 Rowan Street in Churchill Square. Receive a 15% discount coupon when you stay with us! This restaurant is located only a ten minutes’ walk from our accommodations.
Bitters Graduate Student Pub located in Feild Hall. They offer pub food as well as alcohol beverages.
The University Centre has a food court located on its third floor. They offer a variety of fast food options.
The Garden Café is located at the entrance to Memorial's Botanical Garden. They are an English Tearoom, serving soups, sandwiches and all day breakfast on the weekends.
Catering for groups is provided by Aramark in R. Gushue Dining Hall, second floor Hatcher House, and in various cafes across campus. Please note that service in the MUN Dining Services areas is limited in the summer, for menus and hours of operation, click here. There are vending machines in all of our Paton College buildings, as well as in each wing of Macpherson College. In Paton College, the vending machines are located on the second floor of Hatcher, Rothermere and Bowater, and on the first floor of Squires, Burke, Curtis, Blackall, Barnes, and Doyle. In Macpherson College, the vending machines are in the first floor laundry room, which can be accessed by pressing button 1 in the main elevator of Shiwak and Cluett. |

Our Paton College buildings have one TV room per building. These are located on the first floor of Rothermere, Bowater, Barnes, Burke, Curtis, Blackall, and Doyle, on the third floor of Squires, and on the fourth floor of Hatcher. Our Macpherson College buildings have a TV in the common lounge on each floor. |

In Paton College, each building has one small shared kitchenette. These kitchenettes include a fridge, stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, and sink. They are located on the first floor of Rothermere, Bowater, Squires, Burke, Curtis, Blackall, and Doyle, on the second floor of Barnes; and on the fourth floor of Hatcher. In Macpherson College, there is a lounge and kitchenette area on each floor. These kitchenettes include a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, and sink, but no stove or oven. Please also note that there is no cookware or cutlery provided in any of our kitchenette areas. |
