Join MUN for two undergraduate courses that combine classroom lectures with field visits.

Not only a beautiful historic city, Bordeaux is situated in a spectacular region in France, rich with religio-political history. How well do you know the region?! We will visit sites in the city, in the region (potentially including Arcachon, the Lascaux prehistoric caves, the Zen Plum village and Lourdes, a Catholic pilgrimage site), as well as a four-day visit to Paris.

Students may complete two undergraduate courses

(1) "Social Institutions" (ANTH/RELS 2350, cross-listed); and

(2) "Religion and Politics in France" (RELS 3058).

Neither course has a prerequisite or presumes any previous background knowledge. You do not need to speak French (all instruction in English). These courses will work for students in many programs!

Please see this brochure for more information. Here's a proposed site visit calendar. And check out our Facebook group

Come to an information session on Thursday, November 29th or simply contact Dr. Selby to find out more!

The deadline to apply for the school is December 14th, 2018 at 4pm. You may submit this completed application and the $50 registration fee to Ms. Annette Sullivan in the Department of Religious Studies in A5007.

Hope to see you in beautiful Paris and Bordeaux for an amazing month abroad!
