Talks continue between Memorial University and MUNFA toward a collective agreement
Aug. 21, 2026 | Negotiating teams for the university and MUNFA met over two days this week to continue the work toward a mutually agreeable collective agreement for the university’s 800 faculty members.
Negotiations begin with TAUMUN
Aug. 4, 2026 | Memorial and TAUMUN began collective bargaining on July 21, 2026. The parties made progress on a bargaining protocol to support an orderly negotiation process. Memorial looks forward to working with TAUMUN’s negotiating team in good faith and through respectful dialogue to reach a new collective agreement.
Negotiations with MUNFA underway
July 3, 2026 | The negotiating teams for Memorial and MUNFA met on June 26, 2026, for their first bargaining session to work toward a new collective agreement. During that meeting, the university shared its opening package of proposals and now looks forward to receiving MUNFA’s full set of proposals in advance of the next round of talks.
