Finding Food Workshop

This event is part of the HSS on Food series running over the course of the year. It is a public event focusing on food challenges in the St. John’s region and possible policy measures. The discussion that takes place during the evening will produce a set of priorities and policy recommendations for the municipalities in the region.

The evening will feature a panel comprised of four Memorial researchers: Dr. Sean Cadigan (History), Dr. Charles Mather (Geography), Emily Doyle (Community Health) and Tomas Sanguinetti (Geography). Following the panel will be a workshop with a series of table conversations looking at local food policies in other jurisdictions and considering potential policies for our municipalities.

There were be a selection of food available and the evening promises to offer rich and engaging discussion of current challenges right in our own backyard.
