For Employers

The Department of Economics at Memorial University offers a Co-operative Education Option for its full-time students. This is a competitive program that requires students to demonstrate strong academic and professional competencies for admission. Students in the program receive training to take on roles in leading private sector firms, government agencies and the not-for-profit sector, and to support evidence-based decision-making at your organization.

Typical Schedule

Students normally complete three 12–16 week full-time paid co-operative education placements with one or more host organizations in the private, not-for-profit or public sector. The internships typically takes place during the spring and summer months (May to August) or the winter months (January to April) and are intersperced with traditional classroom learning.
