Teaching Development Days: Setting Gen AI Expectations
CITL is pleased to host Teaching Development Days from May 5-7, 2026. Teaching Development Days is a professional learning event that supports Memorial's faculty and instructional staff in strengthening their teaching practice across all modes of course delivery.
Day 1 Theme: Teaching and Learning in the Age of Generative Artificial Intelligence
This session, Setting Gen AI Expectations, supports participants in developing clear, transparent approaches to communicating expectations around generative AI use in their courses.
We will explore practical strategies for articulating context-specific AI expectations that align with both course goals and disciplinary practices.
Participants will also be introduced to approaches for engaging students in co-creating AI guidelines at the course or assignment level, along with strategies for facilitating ongoing conversations with students about AI use.
This is a hybrid session (offered both online and in person in the Instructional Classroom in the QEII Library).
If attending online, we recommend attending this session using one of the following internet browsers: Chrome, Microsoft Edge (Chromium) or Firefox.
Registration is required for this event.
