Teaching Development Days: Gen AI: Make It Work For You
CITL is pleased to host Teaching Development Days from May 5-7, 2026. Teaching Development Days is a professional learning event that supports Memorial's faculty and instructional staff in strengthening their teaching practice across all modes of course delivery.
Day 1 Theme: Teaching and Learning in the Age of Generative Artificial Intelligence
The use of GenAI goes beyond time-saving and can yield instructional, informative and educational benefits. This session, Gen AI: Make It Work For You, draws on practical examples to help participants explore different ways to use Gen AI tools for course design, development and delivery.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Consider using gen AI as a collaborator in the curation and creation of various types of course content.
- Use GenAI to create assessment and evaluation components of a course.
- Guide students to use gen AI tools in a manner that promotes student creativity, critical thinking, writing and research.
This is a hybrid session (offered both online and in person in the Instructional Classroom in the QEII Library).
If attending online, we recommend attending this session using one of the following internet browsers: Chrome, Microsoft Edge (Chromium) or Firefox.
Registration is required for this event.
