The Christmas Coffee/Carol Sing-along hosted each year by the department’s General Office will take place on Tuesday, December 20 at 10:00 am in the Feltham Room.  Members of the department are invited to join the Office Staff for coffee, cookies, and some Christmas songs.

The department’s annual Christmas Social will take place on Thursday December 22 at 3:00 pm in the Feltham Room.  This will be a potluck type event and each lab or office is asked to bring enough snacks for their group, but we will share all on a communal table.  This year the second annual Graduate Student Society White Elephant gift exchange will take place during the Christmas Social.  All graduate students, staff and faculty who would like to participate, should bring along a small gift item, no more than $10 and appropriate for everyone.  The white elephant exchange will take place at 3:30 pm.

 Christmas closures:  the General Office, Student labs, Life Science Stores, IT support, and any other facility run by departmental staff will be closed from early the morning of Friday, December 23rd, (10ish) until WEDNESDAY, January 4^th 2012.
