Thesis Title: Potential for Success: What it takes for young musicians in Newfoundland and Labrador to realize a career in music.

Research:

I will be looking particularly into the impact of access to consistent, high-quality private music instruction, mentoring and industry resources for young musicians throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. The province has an extraordinarily high caliber of musical talent, but with varying degrees of such access depending on factors including financial circumstances, where they live and their home environment. Current professional musicians; aspiring young musicians, and music educators will be surveyed.
