Please be advised of upcoming changes to weekly email limits for Memorial’s Qualtrics customers.

What is the change?

On October 29, 2025, Qualtrics will be setting a weekly email limit for all Academic brands.

This measure is critical for keeping email deliverability high and protecting against security risks. Since maintaining a good sender score is a shared responsibility, please refer to this Qualtrics Support page for guidance on how to improve your sender reputation.

What actions do I need to take?

You can view your weekly limit and how many emails you've used on the legacy account usage page. (See the "Viewing Email Usage" section here for details). If you foresee a need for a higher limit temporarily or if you encounter an Email Distribution Error Messages notification that you need a higher limit temporarily, your Brand Administrator (qualtricsuser@mun.ca) can make that adjustment for you.

To process the request quickly, be sure to include:

• Error code you encountered  
• Account holder's userID
• Account holder's first and last name
• New limit requested. Approximate number of emails you will need to send via Qualtrics (this will be the new temporary limit we will set in order to get your survey(s) sent).  Please Note:  This number should also include any Reminder, Follow-up or Thank You messages you plan to send using this feature.  So, if you send the message to 8,000 users and plan to send both Reminder and Thank You messages to your users, you will want to take those numbers into consideration when providing your estimate.
• Will this survey be sent on a regular basis (annually, biannually, monthly, etc.)?
• Please provide a brief summary the purpose for your survey, as well as the target population (e.g., students, faculty & staff, both students and staff, etc.).
• Confirmation that all email recipients have actively opted-in to receiving emails from you. Please see our Email Acceptable Use Policy for more information
• A description of why you need a higher email limit.
