Ms. Baikie’s is an Inuk visual artist and educator whose career has included positions as school administrator, teacher and education consultant. She has been a telemedicine coordinator for the Labrador-Grenfell Health Authority and an ophthalmic photographer at the Toronto Hospital Western Division. For the last three years, she was the cultural consultant/counsellor with the Post-Secondary Student Support Program, Nunatsiavut Government. Ms. Baikie is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (England and Canadian Chapters) and presently is the grade four teacher at the Sheshatshiu Innu School.

Ms. Baikie is currently a board member of The Rooms and Labrador Grenfell Health. She has also served as a board member with The Grenfell Foundation, Them Days, Aboriginal Peoples Television Network and the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association (Happy Valley-Goose Bay Chapter).
