Conference and Event Services
MEET AT MUN is the signature way we describe the work of Memorial University’s Conference and Event Services (CES) team.
CES is your one‑stop shop for booking meeting, conference, and event spaces at both Signal Hill Campus and the St. John’s Campus. Whether you're planning for 15 people or 500, just email meet@mun.ca — our experienced team will take it from there. From finding the perfect space for your event to coordinating logistics, planning details, amenities, registration, catering, and more, CES Event Services has you fully covered.
For venues outside of Signal Hill Campus and St. John's Campus, check Other Memorial Locations, or reach out to us and we’ll guide you in the right direction.
It’s also worth knowing that Conference and Event Services is proudly Rainbow Registered —a national accreditation from the Canada’s 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce. This designation ensures that our spaces and services meet rigorous standards designed to make 2SLGBTQI+ guests feel safe, welcomed, and respected.
When you book with us, you’re also supporting the community: a portion of CES’s event revenue helps fund student innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives across Memorial. Click here for details.

FAQs for upcoming events at EIX and GEO Centre
On January 28, 2026, Memorial University announced it would be selling real estate that is not central to the university’s academic mission. You can read more about the decision online.
This document provides answers to common questions about event bookings at both the Emera Innovation Exchange and the Johnson Geo Centre.
Will my event go ahead?
- Events booked at the Johnson Geo Centre between Jan. 30 – Dec. 23, 2026, will proceed as scheduled.
- Events booked at the Johnson Geo Centre after Dec. 23, 2026 will be cancelled and full refunds issued. All clients who are impacted by this are being contacted directly.
- Events booked at the Emera Innovation Exchange between Jan. 30 – Aug. 31, 2026, will proceed as scheduled.
- We anticipate events booked at the Emera Innovation Exchange between Sept. 1, 2026 – April 30, 2027, can continue as planned. However, in the event the building is sold or operations cease before April 30, 2027, clients will be contacted with as much notice as possible.
Can I get a refund?
- If we are unable to host your event, your deposit will be fully refunded.
- Clients with potentially impacted events at EIX (bookings between Sept. 1, 2026, and April 30, 2027) can choose to cancel and receive a full refund.
What other event spaces are available?
- There is event space at St. John’s Campus. Note that some spaces can only be placed on hold until each semester’s academic needs are determined. This means bookings cannot be confirmed until approximately four months prior to the event date. Contact your CES Event Coordinator, or meet@mun.ca for more information.
- Externally, we will be working with Destination St. John’s to suggest alternate locations for conferences and will advise conference organizers based on their individual circumstances.
