Postgraduate and Residency

Our five year accredited program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada prides itself on its small size and resulting personal interactions amongst staff and residents. We are fortunate to have a multifaceted training program that focuses on academic and surgical excellence, resident research and community as well as internationally-based experiences. This is a very exciting time for us, as one of our highlights is the expansion of our minimally invasive surgical training through various skills labs and also, through various off-site rotations. We are proud to have a strong simulation program for training in the management of rare emergent situations. In the past year, we have implemented rotation-specific resident evaluations which better assist our staff and trainees in ensuring an optimal educational experience through the assimilation of rotation objectives with the Royal College recognized CanMEDS framework.

Our program encompasses areas of Obstetrics and Gynecology including; Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecology Oncology, Urogynecology, Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, Gender Diverse Care, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, wards, OR, ER and clinics. Additional rotations include; Endocrinology, ICU, Research, Electives and Selectives (community and out-of-province).
Our goal is to train well-rounded clinicians and surgeons, who take pride in their skills and knowledge and who will advocate for women's health and for gender diverse health through their future practices across Canada and beyond.
