About Us

The Discipline of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Memorial University’s Faculty of Medicine is comprised of specialist and subspecialist physicians and surgeons dedicated to providing excellence in clinical care and education.  It is our goal to train well-rounded clinicians and surgeons who take pride in their skills and knowledge and who will advocate for their patients in their future practices across Canada and beyond, and to provide the highest quality of inclusive care to the women and gender diverse patients from all over Newfoundland and Labrador. 

The award winning faculty provide clinical care through the full spectrum of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  As the tertiary care centre for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, the clinical program provides a family centered environment for optimal care of the pregnant patient and fetus, at all levels of perinatal risk, throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.  Clinical services include general obstetrics and gynecology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, maternal fetal medicine, and pediatric and adolescent gynecology.
