Community Development Below Zero

Department of Geography PhD candidate Rudy Rieldsperger is featured in this week's Gazette for his work in Arviat, Nunavut, where he's part of a project looking at climate change adaptation in the North. Rudy is also busy preparing for the upcoming Geography Awareness Week events, Nov. 16-22, in particular leading the Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre event on Nov. 20 with a focus on profiling the diversity of research that the department, and wider MUN community, carries out in the Canadian Arctic, as well as promoting geographical knowledge of the Canadian Arctic to the public.
