Online Learning

All online courses use Memorial's Brightspace (D2L) learning platform, where you can:

  • Review course materials.
  • Submit assignments.
  • Write quizzes.
  • Join discussions and class chats.
  • Contact your instructor.

Some online courses also use video conferencing, interactive multimedia and other tools to make learning engaging and accessible.

Memorial’s online courses have set schedules—they are not self-paced.

  • Instructors post deadlines for readings, assignments and exams.
  • You’re expected to keep up with coursework regularly.
  • Success requires organization, self-discipline and participation—just like on campus.

CITL’s Support Centre helps seven days a week with:

  • Accessing and using Brightspace (D2L).
  • Technical issues with hardware, software or multimedia.
  • Finding online student resources.
