As faculty explore how GenAI might complement teaching, taking a practical look at real-world use cases can help clarify its potential and limits.

In this session Chris McCulloch, Instructor in Communication Skills at the School of Maritime Studies (Marine Institute), shares his testing of Microsoft Copilot as an assistant for creating learning surveys and exercise sheets for in-person classes, and discusses future plans for testing the use of randomized and curated question banks for self-assessments and quizzes for use in online courses.
